[Build] Crusader Paladin

Crusader Paladin - PVE/PVP
Crusader Paladin is a very diverse build. Even with the same SP investment, it can still play a different role with different equipments. It is a great pleasure to customize a Crusader build which suits you the most. The major roles of Crusader Paladin are:

  • Tanker
  • Damage Dealer
  • Secondary Healer

Depends on your SP allocation, your Crusader Paladin may focus on one of these areas or comprehensively cover all the above duties.

For Tanker, you may invest more SP on:
  • Provoke (either Lv. 4 with Epic -Cooldown skill crest or Lv.8 with Rare -Cooldown skill crest, the former set can ensure you with unlimited Debuff Duration while the later set can provide you sufficient time to warn your party member if your Provoke gets interrupted);
  • Stance of Faith (the higher the better because it increases the duration);
  • Autoblock and Block.
As a trade off, you may have to withdraw some SP from damage output skills.

For Damage Dealer, you may wish to maximize your possible damage output. Hence, you may just invest prerequisite on Shield Mastery.

For Secondary Healer, you may maximize your Aura of Healing and invest some SP on Elemental Aura (specifically for Elementalists). Usually tanker role combines with secondary healer role as an insurance.

The major output comes from both Physical and Magical Damage. Nevertheless, some players may prefer one to another.

If you favour Physical Damage, main damage output would be:
  • Electric Smite (equipped with + damage skill crest)
  • Judgment Hammer (Lv. 50, + damage skill crest)
  • Armor Break (max Lv. to support Electric Smite and Judgment Hammer)
  • Shin Breaker

On the other hand, Magical Damage would be:
  • Righteous Bolt
  • Goddess Relic
  • Sacred Hammering
  • Charitable Zap
Assuming you do not have enough SP, you may choose to lower your SP in Electric Smite and set prerequisite for Armor Break. Invest them on Charitable Zap or Righteous Bolt instead.

For those who choose to balance Physical and Magical damage, the priority of your equipment is to:
  1. Boost your Light damage.
  2. Maintain natural growth in Physical damage.
  3. Enhance critical chance.
  4. Enhance Magical damage.

Future prospect:
In T3, Korean version has already unlocked the restriction of two Lv. 40 Skills co-existence. The best news is that you do not need to invest on any prerequisites to learn the other Lv. 40 skill. This feature would greatly enhance the defence of high damage Crusaders. Also, Judge's Power further strengthens Crusaders' damage output.

Judgment Hammer reduces the major weakness of Paladin with its low Cooldown, long ranged attack, short Action Speed. Its damage output is even higher than Goddess Relic EX when dealing with large size monsters.

Conclusion:
Compared to Guardian, Crusader focuses on damage output. However, it does not merely strengthen Physical and Magical damage. It also enhances the chance to survive. Its role in a party would be a steady damage dealer with excellent survival skills. It is the most comprehensive build so far.

Here is the build.
