Tips to Earn Money in Dragon Nest

Money is always useful in so many ways. It is always the best to possess more. Generally, there are two ways to create a fortune: Develop new income and cut your current expense.

Tips 1: Know what to pick

Towards the end of the game, many players are running out of space in their inventory. For most of the players (including me), we would rather invest our real currency on strengthening our builds rather than expanding the inventory slots.

In this case, you may want to make every slot count when running a dungeon. The best way to do so is to pick those which value the most. It can either be the sell price to NPC or in the Marketplace.

Generally speaking, Magic items ranged from 3 to 10 Silver (NPC price). It does not worth to list them in Marketplace while the Rare items are so much cheaper.

Priority of picking:

1. Lustre
For 1 slot, you can obtain 20 pieces of the same Lustre. You can sell them on Marketplace once you reach 20, and you will get to 20 eventually as you play. It is the most efficient way to provide you with a steady income. Crude Lustres are listed about 3 Gold each. Fragment Lustres are lower in price: Obsidian > Onyx > Rest...

2. Crafting Material
They are always useful in game. You can either craft the item or list them in Marketplace. They ranged from 20 Silver (NPC price) to hundreds of Gold (Market price).

3. Spark
For Magic Spark, Diamond > Crystal > Onyx. For Rare Spark, Crystal > Onyx > Diamond. Needless to say, the Rare Sparks are always more profitable in Marketplace. Market price: 20 Silver to 40 Gold

4. Plate
Preferably those universal plates such as: Life-giving, Health, Mystical, Destructive etc. The Market price oscillates a lot, so it is hard to predict. It really depends on what plate you get.

5. Trash
You may earn even more by selling some trash to NPC than listing Lustre in Marketplace. Pick those that value more than 15 Silver. You may as well check Trash Price for the list of trash sell price in game.

6. Magic items
As I said, they don't worth that much. If you are running out of space, forget about them.

Tips 2: Don't upgrade too soon

In this game, higher level items are always better than lower level items. For example, Lv.23 Magic items are better than Lv.16 Rare items. The Korean version has already unlocked Lv. 50 for a while, which means Lv. 24 items are not going to be the end-game gears. It really does not worth to spend a fortune in upgrading your gears to top-shape.

Tips 3: Make well use of  Marketplace

The Marketplace is where the big money flows. You can easily earn a fortune if you know the way. Here, I will show you some tips.

1. Use the weekly limitations wisely.
At this moment, you can only list 30 times per week. So make sure that you place your item at its maximum quantity and profit.

E.g. I have only 1 Onyx Spark (NPC price: 5 Silver), Market price: 25 Silver while admin fee is 1 Silver. If I list it, the difference is ~20 Silver/list. Let's say you got a patch, i.e. 5 Crude Onyx Sparks, your profit would  be 1 Gold/list.

But what happen if you are running out of slots and you still have not gathered a full patch? You may try to purchase extra items to make it a full patch. Most of the time, you are very likely to make a profit out of it.

E.g. I have only got 1 Crude Diamond Spark (NPC price: 7 Silver 50 Copper), Market price: 97 Silver while admin fee is ~4 Silver. Difference will be 85 Silver. Somehow, I saw someone put a relatively low price - @66 Silver X3.

I decide to buy them and resell them together with my single Spark at @90 Silver X4. The profit I make would be 3 Gold 60 Silver -  15 Silver (Admin Fee) - 2 Gold (Cost of 3 Sparks) = 1 Gold 45 Silver.

Also, remember to check the Market price of your item before you list it. One general rule is to place your price a bit lower than the lowest at that moment. However, it might not be necessary in some situation.

E.g. I have got a Clover's Armguards, the lowest price listed is 50 Silver.

When I check its spec, it is (+ strength & para resist). For Sorceress, these two are not useful at all.

And then I found a right one (+ Intellect), its listed price is 1 Gold. However, my one is (+ Intellect & Max HP).

Finally, I found one that is exactly the same as mine. Listed price: 3 Gold! I choose to sell mine at 2 Gold 80 Silver. With the right price, I sold it within an hour. If I did not check the spec thoroughly in the first place, I would have suffered a 2 Gold 30 Silver loss.

2. Keep transaction every day.
Similar to people who invest in stock market, constant checking of the Market can help you familiarize yourself with the price flow. When you get familiar with the Market, you will know what items are going up, and you might want to stock them when they are still cheap.

Thanks man! I wrote it last year, I guess the price should have changed a lot. I will see if I have time to renew the information here.

No problem, we just hit an update so you'll have a lot to add. xD Tinkerer is the new class added to DN NA. Alchemist and Engineer is the sub classes. Engineer loosk like a potential PVP class and Alchemist looks more PVE. Just a small bit of what I know. Hope it helps. Can't wait to see what you bring to the table for the availble crest and skills for this class. Thanks for the awesome web site! n.n

Thank you for your information! Hopefully, I can update more builds in the next month. I think Tinkerer is definitely an interesting one to play with. I heard that the Korean version released a new build, still does not have to figure out it.

Actually, the alchemist is the PVP predator and engineer is like the defensive type (in captain mode), unless you really know how to use it well..ehe
